 DMZ (Demilitarized Zone)

May 27, 2006. We joined Adventure Korea for this trip to the DMZ.

(1) Symbol of people reuniting the Koreas.
(2) Our first tour stop was at the Third Infiltration Tunnel. No cameras are allowed inside the tunnel so don't be fooled by the looks of this entrance to the tunnel. Let the hats tell you how it looks in the actual tunnel.
(1) Next is the Dora Observatory. This place is on top of the hill. On our way up here, the forest on both sides of the road have knee-high fences and warning signs about mines. Creeped me out.

(2) After attending the lecture, we went outside the hall for a view of North Korea. Of course, the rain was also invited so we couldn't see clearly. And, what's up with the "photo line".
We went to the Dorasan Train Station next. It is a train station... just wanna be sure.

(1),(2) ImjinGak was next. We stopped here already in the beginning of this trip but only to register. This time we had a chance to walk around.
This trip was a good experience. I definitely liked the Tunnel and the Freedom Bridge (second photo). I would've love seeing a clear view of North Korea but this day just had to remind me of why I don't like rain.
I was also expecting to see the JSA (Joint Security Area) but as the itinerary stated, it's not included on this trip. I'm just gonna have to take another tour.
