 Bulguksa Temple

May 14, 2006. We stayed at a youth hostel here for the night after a hot spring at Bomun Lake Resort. Night time at this small town was very quiet but then it came to life the following morning. We didn't really know the way to the temple but everybody seemed to be heading the same way, so we just followed the crowd and we hit it.
Bulguksa Temple is one of the most important and frequently visited temples in Korea.
 Seukgulam Grotto

May 14, 2006. Our lady friend Sherry volunteered to be our logistics manager for the day, so we could hike up to this artificial grotto. This grotto is located near the summit of Mt. Tohamsan. It has a seated Buddha statue made of granite and a bunch of carvings of gods, Buddha's deciples and guardians.
 Mt. Tohamsan 745m/2444'

May 14, 2006. I took a side trip to this mountain while the ladies were hiking back to the temple. Access is at the back of the Seukgulam Grotto ticket booth and it took me 15mins up and a hoppin' joggin' 30mins down back to Bulguksa Temple.
