 Geumneung Beach

August 15-17, 2006. Two words, just perfect.
After having a camping nightmare at Jungmun Beach, we finally got what we want for in beach camping. It was such a beautiful place, we ended up staying here for 2 nights. One fine story, A couple of teens approached us at our campsite. We guessed that they were sent to charge us for camping. But they couldn't speak english and possibly embarassed, so they just left.
The beach is packed with lava rocks but in the morning until the afternoon, the tide is so low and the water is warm. You could stay on the white and very fine sand far from the land. It even seem possible to swim to the Biyangdo Island.
In the afternoon of our second day here, we went to visit Hallim Park. This park is also close to the beach. In fact it's just across the street.

 Hyeopjae Beach

This beach is right beside Geumneung Beach and a lot busier. It also has a campground, but it was a good thing we didn't camp here. This place is close to all the restaurants and stores where people seem to party all night. The beach is better here in the late afternoon, that is if you don't mind the crowd.
