 Sinheungsa Temple

May 6, 2006. This outing was just plain aweful. It rained this whole day and the next day. We just didn't want to stay in our Minbak so, we chose to go out, get cold and soaking wet for W3500 at Seoraksan National Park to visit Sinheungsa Temple.
November 12-13, 2006. This time may not be as warm as summer but it sure beats the hell out of rain. Our first day was fairly nice. We had full sun the entire day.
From the distance, the mountain was starting to get ready for a winter look. Only the colours on the lower elevation were still impressive.
(1) This is Biseondae Rock, about 45mins from Sinheungsa Temple. Tourist here have a chance to climb the rock. We bypassed this and we took the left fork to (3) Yang Falls.

My camera started acting funny at this point so i missed a lot of photo opportunity here. This trail is very scenic and I was more than pissed that I couldn't take the shots.

(1) These are Daechongbong (left) and Jungcheongbong Peaks. Jungcheong Shelter is on the col. At this point, snow and ice patches are already all over the place.

(2) This view (and more) is what my camera missed along the trail.

The trail is about 10kms from Sinheungsa Temple to Jungcheong Shelter. We made it in the shelter in 6:15hrs including lunch and stops.
