Lake Provincial Park |
Bass
Lake Provincial Park is located just west of Orillia.
It is very close to the suburbs, with a few privately
owned lands around the park.
The waterview Trail is an easy 3km hike. It follows the
lake's shoreline to a small hill. |

| Bronte
Creek Provincial Park |
Bronte
Creek Provincial Park is located just west of Oakville
on QEW.
On this day trip, while biking around the campground,
we were immediately welcomed by a huge turtle crossing
the road. It took about half an hour of our time but it
certainly was worth the wait. |

 After
a long bike ride we hiked the Ravine Trail for a lookout over
the creek, then we ventured down to get a closer look at the
creek. |

| Darlington
Provincial Park |
Darlington
Provincial Park is on the east part of Oshawa, down
by Lake Ontario.
The beach is not that great. I personally have no passion
for beaches on Lake Ontario. I think it's the most polluted
lake of all the Great Lakes. |

Rowe Provincial Park |
Earl
Rowe Provincial Park is a perfect family park. Only
an hour's drive north of Toronto, Southwest of Barrie
on hwy 89.
This park has a gigantic swimming pool, very nice beach,
and trails from easy to moderate lookout hikes. |

| Killbear
Provincial Park |
On our way back from Killarney,
we took a slight detour off of hwy 69 to hwy 559, just
a bit north of Parry Sound to Killbear
Provincial Park.
I very much wanted to camp here for at least two days,
but that damn Granite Saddle campground was always full
every time we got the chance to camp. |

| Six-Mile
Lake Provincial Park |
Six-Mile
Lake Provincial Park offers 3 sandy beaches and a
hiking trail around the campground. This park is just
a bit north of Barrie and very close to Hwy 400. |
