Hiking to Tappiya Falls, Batad |
April 14, 2007. The hike to this falls should not be missed. The trail does not go through the lower Ifugao village but along the Rice Terraces. Yes, you walk on the terraces. This hike took us 45mins down to the falls and 45mins back up.
The beginning of the trail (first photo) goes through the "registration booth", then through the upper village. You could hire a guide but you could also just follow the trail. Some people may find walking on the terraces a little challenging especially those with fear of heights... or ear dissability. The path along the terraces is narrow enough to pay attention to every step you make. One slip and you'll be on the next terrace ten feet below. |
